Yep. I'm in NYC and I just felt my first earthquake.  I was sitting on my bed and I thought that I was just getting really dizzy but then everything in my room started shaking.  It was pretty wild and a super weird feeling.  


I confirmed that it was actually an earthquake because of twitter and then checked usgs.gov and it was a confirmed 5.9 in Virginia.  Pretty wild!!!!! 



This is pretty cool for me considering that I'm an earth science major in school with a great interest in seismology.  I never thought that I would feel and earthquake and I'm actually pretty excited about it in a nerdy way as weird as that sounds!!
